PA6 XINHUI MEIDA M2500I Resin

PA6 XINHUI MEIDA M2500I Resin

Material Introduction: PA6 XINHUI MEIDA M2500I is a non‑reinforced medical‑grade PA6 resin. It features good mechanical strength, wear resistance, medical safety and processing flowability. Strict control of monomer residue and moisture content satisfies special requirements for medical applications. It has relatively low heat‑deflection temperature, and strict drying is required before processing due to inherent hygroscopicity of PA6.

Main Applications

Medical devices: Housings, handles and accessories for medical instruments, non‑critical components not in direct contact with human tissues (final products shall comply with corresponding medical device certification requirements).

Medical packaging: Partial medical‑packaging materials.

Mechanical parts: Bearings, gears, cams, pulleys, pump impellers, fan blades, sealing rings and other general mechanical components.

Other fields: Electronic‑electrical parts such as coil bobbins and switches, daily‑use consumer goods.

Injection Molding Parameters

Processing Item Recommended Range / Condition Notes & Explanations
Drying Treatment Hot‑air drying at 80‑100 ℃ for at least 4‑6 h; vacuum drying preferred. Critical operation. Keep moisture ≤0.2% to avoid hydrolysis, bubbles, silver streaks and strength drop. Use immediately after drying or seal properly for heat preservation.
Melt Temperature 230‑280 ℃ general range. Depends on equipment and articles. Do not exceed 300 ℃; avoid long‑time high‑temperature residence to prevent degradation & discoloration. PA6 shows distinct melting point with relatively poor thermal stability.
Mold Temperature 60‑90 ℃ for most parts. Higher mold temperature improves crystallinity, surface gloss and mechanical performance yet increases molding shrinkage. Lower mold temperature brings better toughness. High mold temperature is recommended for thin‑wall or complex‑structure parts.
Injection Pressure 60‑100 MPa. Low‑viscosity PA6 with good flowability but fast cooling. Higher pressure is needed for complex / thin‑wall parts; excessive pressure causes flash.
Injection Speed High speed. Fast filling prevents flow marks and short‑shot caused by rapid cooling.
Back Pressure 0.5‑1.0 MPa (5‑10 kgf/cm²). Proper back‑pressure homogenizes melt and improves venting; excessive back‑pressure reduces plasticizing efficiency and may trigger overheating.
Screw Speed Medium speed. Avoid excessive shear heat build‑up.
Runner & Gate Gate bore ≥0.5*t (t = wall thickness of molded part). Minimum diameter for submarine gate ≥0.75 mm. PA6 solidifies fast; sufficiently large gate ensures smooth filling.
Shutdown Notice Purge barrel with PE / PP of good thermal stability on pause or shutdown to prevent carbonization of residual PA6; turn off heating system for long‑term shutdown.
Molding Shrinkage 1.3% (typical for M2500I). Subject to process parameters and product design.
